How To Replace an Air Compressor Tank | 2-Methods Explained
We all understand the importance of an air compressor tank. It is the most vital requirement. The air compressor tanks hold the air inside it and pressurize it due to which it has water vapor. Now what happens is the water vapor inside the tank makes the surface corrode gradually which results in a small hole in the tank. So here comes our question on how to replace an air compressor tank and what major precaution we need to consider while this process.
The very important thing that one must keep in mind is never to use an air compressor tank that has some leakage or some hole. This can be way too risky to handle. So, the next step is to replace the tank as early as possible. Let us check the complete procedure about it.

You will notice that there are four bolts fixed at the four corners. Use the wrench tool and loose and unscrew the bolts. Now before removing the motor lose the steel line with the help of a wrench. After removing it you will notice the blue line which is connected with the pressure line to the push-pull fitting. You will see the black hole pull it back and pull the blue off. This way you can disconnect it. Now remove the motor.
Step 4: Remove the pressure switch.
Place the wrench at the main joint and then lose it and remove the entire set off.

The first step here would be attaching the four feet and putting them back into the base.
Step 3: Install the drain tank valve
Make sure that you apply some thread sealers and they screw it perfectly.
Step 4: Install the regulator.
Before screwing the regulator it is necessary to apply thread sealers at the fitting section and then fit it and screw it on the tank. Rotate the regulator to the right to tighten it up. Make sure that the regulator is nicely fitted and snug
Step 5: install the pressure switch.
As said, apply some thread sealer on the surface. Place it on the top and rotate it to the right when it is set nicely and use a wrench tool to fit it nicely.
Step 6: place the motor.
Now, place the motor on the mounting plate. Screw the four bolts tightly. Grab the bolt and power cord in between and screw all the bolts firmly.

The last step is to install the base and screw it by tightening using a tool. And this is it.
Why Do We Need To Replace?
The air compressor pressurizes the air inside the tank due to which it has water vapor. The water vapor results in the deterioration of the tank and thus creates a hole on the wall of the tank. Using an air compressor tank that has a hole is not a good decision. It can turn out into danger. We, therefore, suggest that never use a tank that is damaged to this extent.
